This event offers associate solicitors the chance to benefit from the knowledge and experience of a panel of senior partners and in-house lawyers. The idea is that after an hour-and-a-half question and answer session, followed by an hour of networking, the associates come away with a realistic sense of what it takes to reach the top of their profession.
We have now extended the scope of Path 2 Partner to also take in the professional and financial services sectors.

This year marks our nineteenth year celebration and we are delighted to announce the next Celebration of Black Excellence Awards will take place on Friday 25 October at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London. Experience quintessential London charm in the sumptuous surroundings of this magnificent Grande Dame hotel, a truly enchanting venue in the heart of the world's finest city.
Rather than be tempted to follow the demand for tables and increase the size of the event, we decided to stay with the idea of the Awards being a relatively intimate evening, however JW Marriott Grosvenor House London affords us a little more space where guests can comfortably mix and network with their peers and colleagues.
Every year we host a black-tie dinner – the Powerlist Black Excellence Awards Dinner – to launch the publication and to recognise a small number of men and women we believe have showcased excellence in their field of endeavour over a number of years.
We will present a number of awards on the night: including the Community Award, the Executive of the Year Award, the Global Leadership Award, the PwC Purpose Award, Entertainer Award, Banking Professional Award, Literary Award, Woman of The Year Award, Tech Professional of The Year Award and the Powerlist Number One Award.
The dinner has become, by a long way, the most prestigious event on the African/African Caribbean calendar, offering the ideal opportunity for you and your colleagues to network with key influencers. It is the most powerful room of black people assembled in one place in the UK in any given year.
Throughout the evening we will showcase examples of people of African, African Caribbean and African American heritage who are making waves at the very highest levels of commerce, science, education, community and in the arts.
The evening begins with a Champagne reception followed by a tasteful dining experience in the sumptuous Great Room, one of the most desirable venues in London.
The awards ceremony will then take place. We have lined up some great musical talent to provide entertainment at the event, but there will still be time to network too, as making contacts is what the dinner is all about. That will be followed by an after party for those who wish to let their hair down a little.

The objective of the careers fair is to provide employers and students with an unparalleled opportunity to engage with one another, cultivating relationships that result in potential recruitment opportunities.
Once again we will invite all 150 students listed in Future Leaders magazine, along with selected business partners and key professionals featured in the Powerlist magazine, to the Future Leaders Awards and magazine launch.
