CEO/Founder, Powerful Media

Before starting Powerful Media, Michael was Editorial Director of the Ethnic Media Group, which at one time published some 10 titles. He has worked for and written for many national newspapers and magazines, including The Observer, The Guardian, The Sun, The Evening Standard, The Sunday Times, The Times and The Independent. Michael holds Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Law and a post-graduate diploma in Periodical Journalism.

Founding Director, Head of Events

Yvonne has worked within the advertising publishing industry for the past 20 years, starting at News International PLC in advertising sales across titles i.e. The Times, Sunday Times, The Sun Newspaper, Today Newspaper and the News of the World. Yvonne went on to work for eight years at The Voice Communications Group and was promoted to their Group Advertising Director.

Editor, Future Leaders

Adenike is the founding editor and general overseer of all things connected to Future Leaders. Adenike has been a professional journalist since 2003 and has written for national newspapers such as the Daily Mirror and the Guardian, appeared on BBC Breakfast TV and MTV as a cultural pundit and is a writer for the Huffington Post.

Director, Head of Recruitment

Denise is a founding director with our recruitment firm Diverse Executive Recruitment. She assists candidates of African and African Caribbean/American heritage with their career journey. She also assists firms with their diversity and inclusion initiatives by helping them to diversify their candidate shortlists.

Prior to joining Powerful Media, Denise was a sales director with the American company Donnelley Financial Solutions (data rooms, translation and printing). During most of her 34-year career with Donnelley, Denise assisted legal, investment banking, corporate and private equity clients worldwide with the production of their equity, debt and merger & acquisition offering documentation.
